EMPTY PLACES

EMPTY PLACES

A Poem by Rob Taylor

EMPTY PLACES, EMPTY SPACES

I reach across an open space

I stretch my arm towards the place

The place where I thought you should be

There was nothing there for me

EMPTY PLACES, EMPTY SPACES

Emptiness I feel so deep inside

As I search for a place to hide

A place where falling tears unseen

Slowly erase my yesterdays dream

EMPTY PLACES, EMPTY SPACES

Blue is the color of a broken heart

So bold the blue the color tares apart

Through pain of loss you can’t replace

Young lovers tears just part of life

EMPTY SPACES, EMPTY PLACES
