A Memory From Passing Time

 

Another Memory............

 

I watched her as she walked away,

not wanting to say a sad goodbye.

The first time in my life,

I had lost someone who made feel,

so deeply very warm inside.

I felt true love for another,

for the first time in my life.

Tears, and hurt, I felt so lost,

not being able to say one word.

I reached out, I tried to touch,

although I didn't raise my hand.

my fingers at that moment were,

wiping away a silent tear .

Life has been so good for me,

I know life has been good to her.

We both in time did find another,

and deep love blossomed once again.

Time and change through many years,

this new love also had it's pains.

Memories from youth  I suppose,

so very, very hard to lose,

and first love is love you can't forget.

and As we grow old, as time slips past,

so clearly we can still recall,

A first love from so long ago,

We let a smile arrive then pass.
