I'd Rather Forget You

I'd Rather Forget You

A Poem by robshoy
"

Breakup song?

"

You’re like a breath of fresh air
But right now I’d rather choke
You look like a million bucks
But I’d rather stay broke

And whenever you come knocking
On my front door
Don’t be surprised if I don’t look in your eyes
When I say I don’t need you anymore.

Your eyes are like the sunrise
But I’d rather walk at night
If I didn’t tell you you were beautiful
I wouldn’t feel polite

And I just can’t live with myself
When I’m with you
So don’t be shocked if my door is locked
Darling that’ll be your cue.

So walk away
I won’t take offense
Just let me say that I still love you
In my own defense

You’re still just as gorgeous
As the day we met
Just meeting you
Is something I now regret

So it’s not that I don’t love you
No, that isn’t true
And it’s not that I won’t remember,
I’d just rather forget about you.

I really liked it! It's like its untouchable and you'd rather leave it then want it...if you get my drift.

I don't think my review will be constructive...lolz
I don't have any suggestions for this piece. This was really great. Well written, flows nicely and well, sounds good. It'd be nice to hear its tune...
Well written!! Great job!!
