Bliss

Bliss

A Poem by Heather Clayton

I lay there at night
with you by my side
taking you in naked
with nothing to hide.

I kiss you gently
on the lips
kissing you feels
so good to me.

I hold your hand
and caress you
thinking this last
time on the sand.

I smell you softly
like beach and sun
getting up to follow
you as you follow me.

I wait for the sun
to peer through
setting on your eyes
the world is honey.
