Crabs/Cancer

Crabs/Cancer

A Poem by Heather Clayton

Once the tides come in
I can crawl my way back to you
so I can find a friend.
I can enter the hole I came from
because you know I'm red not blue.
With my beady eyes
I jiggle off sea foam.
I will pinch you hard
until you see what I do.
Follow my word.
watch out! Because I'm not afraid.

Clinging to someone that understands you but hurting that person in the process. Been there.

your title had me curious so I read your poem ... I like it! I think crabs are cute - lol - but not cancer.
