The Giraffe that Loved His SpotsA Poem by Heather ClaytonOnce there was a giraffe that loved his spots
From chimney sweeps to garden pots.
His pajamas had lots of splotches
so did his handkerchief and his watches.
He had spots on his royal chair,
Mr. ruler of the neck-tie air.
He also judged for love spot accuracy
his love of his life named Lacy.
He had little spotless giraffe calf
it caused quite a stir on his behalf.
But he still declared his land ruler of splats
and in the end it looked like a bunch of big brown mats.
