Blackbird

Blackbird

A Poem by Heather Clayton

Blackbird

I sit on a wire
black bird on fire
The sun dull red
As if it's fed
I fly the way
Flapping any day
then I fret
I'm not home yet.

Forget! Forget! Forget!

I learn to fly
as I can get by.

Excellent! I like your style, and indeed we feel a hint of Poe throughout, well done! :)
