The Queen of ClubsA Poem by robk22A poem that came to me quickly as I was playing blackjack. I can't honestly say that i relate to it that much.A missing heart is a ruined man as a missing card is a ruined pack. Good intentions don't efface truths unless intentions bring horizons new. I am bound by heart and fire to an angel of death who is building my pyre and rivers of envy on which it will sail will see her follow and her envy prevail. I was a prince and i used to burn until the Queen, my love did earn. The missing card; a Queen of clubs - black of heart; devoid of trust. My Queen she sits on high and screams, her palace shatters and at the seams of life, this life, so auspicious and fresh we begin to bleed and perish. © 2010 robk22Author's Note
