BROKEN SHELL

BROKEN SHELL

A Poem by Robin M. Isle

The broken shell is the one left behind
and it dwells on my mind;

I picked it up and carried it with the rest,
nestled together
looking its broken rugged best.

She'd been tossed about by the tide,
then left behind and sun  dried.

Like the broken shell,
I  just blend  right in
as  just any other broken friend.
