Lashes

A Poem by Robin - Scott Johnson
"

A very violent poem which licks the reader's mind.

"

Lashes

By Robin Scott Johnson

One, two, three, stop,
The cat licks off your flesh;

Four, five six, stop,

Blood rains from your back.

Seven, eight, nine, stop,

All nine tails whips true.
ten, eleven, twelve, stop

Your legs fail ‘neath you too.

Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, stop.

Your breathing slows, you faint;

Sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, stop,

You sleep and never wake.

Very good imagery. And yes, it does lick the mind.
