MOUNTAIN
A Poem by
Marie
I wrote this for someone who is no longer with us.
Snow
capped
Cloud
wrapped
Lone
trail
Lost
grail
High
crest
Bright
quest
White
breath
Black
death.

Rather cryptic but I like it.
You paint an image of someone good and pure who stands tall, someone with integrity.
But they have had darkness fall upon them.
I don't know, that's just my interpretation.
Could just be a plummet from the summit...
Enjoyed reading it.

Thank you. But I have never lost anyone on a mountain. I just know that it can happen.
Well done as always... I agree, great rhyming scheme.

Thanks. This rhyme scheme is challenging, but fun to do.
Love the rhyme here, Marie - perfectly chosen words to draw your image.

Thanks. The last lines are always supposed to be the best; they are the point of the poem.
wow, lost grail----seems tempting until we get halfway through the quest, and run out of breath, and life.
such impact.
