GARDEN

GARDEN

A Poem by Marie
"

Af free-form garden..

"

My garden wanders where it will

Has no boundaries;

Roses grow with hollyhocks,

Marigolds, sweet peas.

Violets weave through the grass,

Honeysuckle twines

Over fence and post and wall"

Anyplace it finds.

My garden wanders where it will,

One vast, open room.

Daisies talk to asters; colours

 Riot, bloom by bloom.

Just stopping by Marie to bid you a "Happy Spring" and a Happy St. Patty's Day.
The Robins came a couple days ago. I think you must of wrote about them before, For they always remind me of you.
Somehow they seem, to be the embodiment of you. I am wondering if you ever returned, would you come as a Robin in the Spring? If you did.. Hear my hello.......for I am sure it was you.
Well, I should go now and leave you to your business in the Garden. Just wanted to say hello and thank you once again and thank your nest keeper for keeping your Garden open so we could visit, now and then.

Lovely garden left to nature and well depicted in a bright and cheerful verse.

This is the only riot I want to see or experience Marie - riots of colour from your pen.
Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks Anto. I was trying to use the word "riot" in a good way.

fait accompli my friend
a truly beautiful garden is a variety of flowers all living together in harmony...the colors of love and peace and growth....we cannot control it, we just hope to enjoy it.

Unfortunately, I am not a gardener; if someone hadn't planted Wandering Jew for me, I wouldn't have .. read more
lovely piece Marie, I am a big fan of gardening, permaculture to be precise. I like plants that give me something to eat!!! loved the closing line "colours riot, bloom by bloom".

Thanks. I'm not a gardener, but this would be my choice if I actually had a garden.
A garden with free form is one that blooms as it wants, where it wants and is able to display the wondrous beauty endowed by our Creator! I like this garden!!

Nicely written and gives a great image of how a garden should be with everything doing it's own thing but getting along well also.
