A Poem by Marie
"

I wish I had a garden that looked like this...

"

Roses line  my garden walk

Lilies droop on slender stalks.

Zinnias turn to face the light

Hollyhocks are flaming, bright

Butterflies come drink their fill

I sit at my windowsill

Passing peaceful, happy hours

Watching birds and bees and flowers.

I did not know what Zinnias are; googled that and I do not think they grow in my country.
Nevertheless, spring is nigh here and the imagery hits home again.

I too like to spend time "watching birds and bees and flowers" and the butterflies too..

Tis a truly contemplative scene you painted here Marie. Nature in its splendour entrances the soul and the mind follows bringing peace of mind. The best things in life are free.

you're very welcome.
it's a beautiful garden in the picture and a beautiful garden you have drawn with your words.

Oh, Marie... yes... gardens are so beautiful.. they bring such peace... it's where we were meant to be, and your words remind me so well.

I only wish I had a garden like this.
you've painted a scene as serene as the accompnying picture. I'm not much into flowers and gardens but I wouldn't mind having one like this. a chaise longue, coffee and a book.

I would like to have a garden, but it just isn't going to happen.
Watching, observing and learning from mother nature is one of my favorite things to do to.
