As a Parent
A Poem by Robert W. Kerr
Thoughts on being a parent.
- No matter who you are you are not qualified for the job.
- You must make the best and most positive decision for your child even when it's unpopular.
- Never belive that you have "figured it out" because someone, something or sometime will remind you that you have not.
- Make mistakes, learn from them and take responisbility for them.
- Praise the A's and B's as much as you frown upone the D's and F's.
- Be real and remember when you were on the other side.
- And except the fact that no matter how hard you try you will at some point sound like a parent.
