the SkyA Poem by RJIt’s a kind of bitter cold you can only find in the
mountains You can see it, feel it, and even taste it It’s on a night like this that I look to the sky in wonder The sky is full and clear on a night like tonight Summer has gone and past The heat has floated away No, it is time of falling to winter The leaves fall from the trees It’s a truly beautiful site to see I gaze upon the sky And see as far as the eye can see I can see the stars and moon It’s a magnificent dance in the sky There are so many blinking and sparking at you They are ever so bright and shiny I see what time and space is For it is a sight to see like no other For the sky holds your eyes in amazement It is like a pool in the sky ever so reflecting to the
surface I dream upon the stars in this sky Oh, how the cosmic rays fall on other planets I see what some can’t believe For it is a colonoscope of twinkling flaming stars Ever so far away yet you feel as though you can touch them I feel my mind as I see the skylight ever so bright It comes upon a full moon The sky is alive and full of life ever so changing The sky at least has not for what beauty one’s mind can see is beyond words it is beyond comprehending to take the mind from this place to see what others haven’t To rejoice in self with the gifts man sight can only see This is of what virtue the sky has for all. © 2017 RJ |
