Awakening

Awakening

A Poem by Robert Bean

Awakening

the hair tickles, and my sweat trickles
she trembles, shivers joy in her movements
as we rise and fall as one
thighs as strong as marble towers
in a delicate clinch that tangles my heart
each beat together binds tighter than rope
souls singing as bodies intertwine and melt
salty sweet and deep as the ocean
I stand for and with you
behind and beside
we build a forever one breath at a time
