Again

Again

A Poem by Robert Bean

Again

The day narrows as time slides past
coming to the hour when again
your hand I shall grasp
and life won't intrude anymore
for the time we spend
intwined together behind the door
energizes my heart and mind
peaces over my soul
brings me closer to fine
the flame will warm me
for a moment or two
yet apart, yours I shall be
