The Battle of The Rabbit (Part Two) The Battle Speech

The Second Part of Series of Epic Poems.

I sharpen my blade
Wipe my Shield
all the time the praying for strength
and never to yield
it is better to fall
then to give in
or yield
for lord has comandeth
thus we shall obey
for yielding in battle
is to give away the day

Ready for battle I mount my horse
and trotting over to my men,
I gaze over the valley and it is plush with green
birds are flying, and animals grazing and sipping from the stream
it doesn't look like war is about to begin
as that thought crosses my mind,

a darkness fall over the sky
birds, and animals flee for their lives
in the brush I notice a rustle of leaves
A buck and doe with her faun, dart out
running for cover toward northern woods
A dark shadow over head
Screeches and roars
the shadowed beast as to show it fame
release a cone of flames
and scorches the valley ground, ahead of it prey
they turn and run for the western hill
the beast makes a bank in the sky and whip tails
with a screech and roar it begins to dive
six pairs of talons snares it game
with twist of heads and snap of teeth its breakfast is proclaimed
and its display of power is complete

upon hill I hear the sound of cheer, and taunts and prewar jest
telling me it is time for me to ready my men
upon their eyes, determination i do see
but yet the fear is mounting
after what we had seen

I stable my voice, pray for advise
I begin to speak in roll the i play
and tell my men, hear what i say

Our Lord has call us forth
and is here with us today
there is no reason
to fear
The army before you
lives in lies
they dwell in darkness
because what they do, they must hide
there here today
because want you to believe
that all right to be like them
and live as you please
but any child of the Lord
know that darkness bares sin
kid yourself not
and stand your ground
for morals you represent
will bring you to the crown
you fight for righteous
you fight for the meek
you fight to kept families
safe from this dream
for if the darkness win
next they will come
for sons and daughters of everyone
to make them suffer there cause
each will find pride
in immortality and sin
this is not acceptable
for no man shall fear
the rise if this abomination
shall never appear
Today my friend the Lord has commanded
we are serve as his might
he given us the power
to do what is right
for today it time for us to deliver His Truth
to those who have scoffed
and turned away too
no more compassion
no more time to waste
for they have been given
fair time to heed
but the warning has fallen
upon deaf ears and closed minds
so it is time to deliver it steal and pine
So men rally up
and show them who is here
for your time to shine is near

The men tighten their raines
on their horses, lions, and bird of prey
releasing a sound
that gave all fair warn
that this army
was ready
and was bringing them their war.
the beast turned it head when it heard that sound
and bellow out a snap
and his men settle down
all was in place
and tension was built
it was time for action
and all fell still.
