Addiction To MusicA Poem by RobbyKube
My addiction to music gets stronger everyday,
I have to admit it. Every night I lie in bed listening to sad songs Natasha Bedingfield, Trey Songz I know I should stop this and give way to Orpheus Still, like Britney Spears, I go: "Baby, one more time" Just one replay This is the final last time Only it never is And I am stuck in this loop, circular, with no end Entangled, trapped in this melody My prison is golden And I? I am beholden Happy in my sadness, I am irresistibly drawn; Yet still I know your chants sound my end Lying in bed, knowing that by morning My boss will learn my car broke down on I-10 And due to some unforeseen circumstances This addict will be late for work © 2011 RobbyKube |
