I tend to grind my teeth,
Especially right before I sleep.
I drift left and right,
Forward, then backwards.
I drive in and out Of God time,
Slowly stride into my time.
Anything goes in my time.
I can lead a bloody revolution,
Become a dictator,
Slander a thousand gators,
And it is still okay.
I am still king!
In my time, I can fly.
Fly to hell and back,
Then twist a rainbow
So it's just red and black,
Blood and bad;
Orchestrate bloodbaths,
And it's still okay.
My time bends to my will.
If I want an ice cream,
Well there it is.
If I want my ex-girlfriend to be mauled by a lion,
Well... You know...
And it's still okay.
But I want none of that
Don't tell my guy friends, but I want fairies and Unicorns.
Okay, okay, maybe I exaggerate
But the truth is I want love.
So I make up friends,
And it's still okay.
If I decided to practice bummery instead of law,
My parents wouldn't mind.
I could go to job interviews in flip flops;
It would probably count as work experience.
I could come smelling like dead rat and carcass
And it would still be okay.
In my time, I would jump from the roof of the world trade center,
No parachute.
Land head first.
Head, skull, trunk bashed,
Just to celebrate the memories of all who passed,
And it would still be okay.
What can't I do in my time?
I can't dream in my time.
I wonder why
I've never dreamt of dreaming a dream
That could be my ultimate goal and life's achievement.
And it would still be okay.
