Poet's Promise

Poet's Promise

A Poem by Robb Bryner

The months have been stretching

and seeming like years

The lonliness hurts

just as bad as the tear

And all I can do

is wish you were here

Holding me tight

to shut out all my fear

Yet I still love you

more than you know

I find it impossible

to let you go

That's why I'm holding

your memory so strong

For you stole my heart

and to you I belong

This is my hope

and my prayer

and my dream

To find you one day

and make you my Queen
