I Go To See The Tides Low To Float With To Sail On

I Go To See The Tides Low To Float With To Sail On

A Poem by Robert Robbie Lord Dudley

dear heart, dear heart, i have made a mark made a spark flame

as we're reaching out far and breathes a word to describe what

as the stars above will weave space where the memories were are

most likely rising through i've seen on the wings that drifts

across my glass should i go back

with the patience of a giant

with the patience of a saint

with the patience of a hero

foremost of just one soft moment out in the dark

like watching a cloud move going by the moon in the sky

making less sense of course it's sweet when i drank from the mountain

when i swum in the river clear and cold and getting out

it was good to my soul keep on keeping on it

and holding up and being within was as like a double flower

growing holding to just one sharp stem on

bent wind falling fly with me drive with me home and around here

is where the head can rest

is where the heart can care

is where the soul can expand and burst or flow

foremost of just one soft moment out in the dark

like watching a cloud move going by the moon in the sky

making less sense of course it's sweet when i close my eyes and probe

my thoughts what i don't know what i don't see becoming

little specks dancing and bumping around

to discover fly with me drive with me

and we went along and had flown long

with our own songs inside upon

the water rose higher something other a double feather a double flower

suffers to gather in the arms of the wind's shadow passing through

as i traverse this making less sense of course it's sweet

when here i go again around another gloomy corner

the night is next coming around

the very very edge of being the very very end of becoming

dawning tomorrow morning so bright loose layers are forming

if hadn't a wing maim'd from a sharp stem on bent wind falling

super cool super 8 a double feather a double flower

as from my hands waving nevertheless is swishing through the air

super cool super 8 a double feather a double flower

in one soft moment send me up were advancing prancing around

towards the passing connection i was bringing meaning look

and all will try oh make me see untill the very last light

and move my soul today times are hard

i suffer, i hunger, i struggle, day in, day out

oh very well i will stay and you talk and i feel as restless

as a wave across a puddle made by a toy boat

of remote vision feeling so far away

going on moving on along the wave turning

or in between courage the door and hope the window

it's bright, it's dim, it's my glim of light

it's bright, it's dim, it's my glim in the distance

fly with me every turn drive with me around here

float with me on a toy boat with a stick a string i go adrift

building up on my own note by note just hanging there in the air

recalls the results a ripple a wave rolls across

a puddle made by a toy boat without no guide just me, myself

and i i'm going to see the tides low i'm going to the sea

to float with to sail on is a double feather a double flower

oh the light super cool super 8 so lush and i wish on blooms

better things to consider we're together now

in my heart in my head i have made a mark made a spark flame

feeling, thinking, dreaming, doing

continuing through on my own to be away it was excellent

i couldn't stay too long what's that back to the start again

yeah, i know, you there in the fresh air

walk with me talk with me keep on keeping on it

in the sunshine or where there is none

out comes some sign done with setting rising sun

through different now is nothing in this world new

just small hidden from all behind the clouds silently burning

out in the night on a walk on the moon and hanging heavy

oh the light super cool super 8 so lush and i wish on blooms

they are most likely to rise as a moth drifts

across my glass should i go back

with the patience of a giant

with the patience of a saint

with the patience of a hero

for just one soft moment out in the dark

going to see the tides to float with to sail on

oh the light it's super cool super 8 so lush

and i wish on blooms drooping

looking to find

make it last some-how

you're not lost
