SAW A FALLING STAR FALL BY

SAW A FALLING STAR FALL BY

A Poem by Robert Robbie Lord Dudley

way in the sky tonight

saw a falling star fall by

one so early in the morn'

in the small hours

before the dawn

didn't wish for much at all

only to stay

strong and well I wanna be

often so with no pathway

only to stay

anywhere, manywhere

everywhere i see will pass

just it seems to be to me

all i have was to fade a-way

is this wish what else

do i need to find

running blind

a leaf on a field

inside a stone

i have been wandering

i have walked alone

saw a falling star fall by

one so early in the morn'

in the small hours

before the dawn

my sweet purpose

i suppose is in the wind

can't capture my wish

in this unknown place

lighting candles

so true in a moment

we explore it so much

after happiness

i want your love

i appreciate your love

you are good

through and through

anywhere, manywhere

everywhere i go passing

right as the bright blue sky

white as the moon

that rises bold and i'm told

secrets of the seas

carrying bundles as

the rain on the sand imprints

i thinks, i feels, i write on

in the wind to hold on

then i up and go hunt on

seashells fallen

amongst the waves

sometimes sent on

within a dream

turning the mind

turning the tide

i gathers here for to get more

inside a stone by me

on those rivers

on those streams

and my heart now

follows me down into

i rise, i search

the sea's beautiful breeze

coming through

a sweet little song

sung in the wind

on the outside

thier last cry

on the inside

what i loss, i toss

lefted behind me i will find me

far removed from here

way in the sky tonight

saw a falling star fall by

and one so early in the morn'

in the small hours

before the dawn

i hear my soul call

i hear my thoughts

in a dream on my bed

dredging the bottom

of my head dark

rolling waters

running blind

through a cold rain

has started i feel better

carries me on to a distance

to pass a unseen part

of a turbulant ocean

of a tender conviction

of the heart still strong

and well like a rock

hit by the waves

rolls on a little worn

a leaf on a field

inside a stone

way in the sky tonight

saw a falling star fall by

and one so early in the morn'

in the small hours

before the dawn
