ALONG THE PAINTED WORDSA Poem by Robert Robbie Lord Dudley
Then into the dawning
The bringing of the day The gentle waves flow Through my hair floating Wow, it is bright on a-plush of wings, proud Sending, conveying Like grass bending Through the changing winds Sometimes I am there For away into where I needed in a melody Suspended swept i kept Onto my back into the painted words shone As the day wore on Got me hanging lightly A gray mirror blackened Sunkened at midnight Submerging my face Wide open mountain Feeling escape and alive So much it's right now Long as I can be free The places from my shell until dark I find this spot and this spot is special to me So far as i know be here Lifting my voice on smoke Does it not i know what comes up Must come down in sleep Many times i'm in a white fog In the clouds when the rain drops Looks like this picture Got my dim head out of focus Into that harsh light Exposed into the blue water Distorted over the rise For a glimpse found If any time lapses Through flat pieces of new glass Under the moon Framed in wood Leaves the room Painted a window, roll, cloud, roll I am feeling courageous
