A Hollow Kind

A Hollow Kind

A Poem by Steve B
"

A poem... about how living through karma is stupid?

"
Karma comes only to those without
Solely because they doubt life is better lived knowing
The rules of a god, and accepting them as the truth
Spending your time perfecting pretending the real you
Isn't worth being let out, because if you do
The world's "had it coming" will come down upon you

So you shut your mouth, if there's something worth shunning
And you don't let out the frustration of others running
This world to the ground, 'cause if someone's got it coming
You'd rather the crime happen to others instead of you, 'cause you're nothing

And nothing's got a lot of ways
Of getting nothing done
So that nothing changes
While the rest of us cower inside unlocked cages
Afraid to take the step toward the revelation

That polite doesn't make the world a better place
It just reminds us to smile at an ugly face
