Para-dice

Para-dice

A Poem by Steve B

I'm in love with a world
One that no one but me knows
And no one but me goes
I'm in love with this world
I go there all of the time
Because I don't have a life
And then I...

Fall into a cataclysmic day dream
Of a lover with foreign wings
And then I
Take a dive into a wait and see
Where all the sea shells dance
And the forest screams
And then I
Take off into a herd of sheep without seams
I stage dive into a row of cream
And then I
Kick back with a fourth and Jack
And a pillow with a tongue that shouldn't sing like that

I'm in love with a world
One inside of my head
It'll be there after I'm dead
If you could get to this world
I bet you'd probably find
You're better off with your eyes
Because I...

Can't help it if the colors flow all the same
All the lines that draw to keep them sane
Because
I'm too busy with a loaded brain to keep track
Of all the wheels that turn to keep the frame
Because
It isn't better when you're on a plane with no slope
To tip and fall and call control to shame
Because
I'm the kind of guy that makes the saying
"If you never grow old you better keep on playing"
