Am I different?A Poem by matelotrodIt can happen to us all.Am I Different? I find that as I age, when walking, I stumble I try to stay upright but I frequently tumble My speech is diminishing now I often mumble My once happy lifestyle is beginning to crumble.
I have to accept it because it makes me who I am It is like being an entry in some evil "grand slam" I frequently yell for help to get me out of this jam I never realized Nature could enforce such a spam
There is no escape we must take it all on the chin You'll be in the "Eighties “when these functions begin Different body issues will put your mind in a spin My advice? when it happens, produce one big grin.
