The Grass Has GrownA Poem by matelotrod The Grass has Grown I looked out at my lawns the front garden and back It's been such a dry summer I felt I had lost track The grass had turned brown and the lawns almost died I felt that I couldn't cure it no matter how I tried. I collected my lawn mower it was un-used and rusty The insides were filled with old grass and awfully dusty But I gave it a good clean and plugged it in to the electric Pressed the starter Butten and took off dangerously hectic. I gradually settled and chose my most growing traces
I steered with decision creating better looking spaces I carried on cutting but when I looked it made me frown Unfortunately my impatience had made the whole lawn Brown! Rod Broomham. (c) © 2018 matelotrodAuthor's Note
