Sorry I Tried.

Sorry I Tried.

A Poem by matelotrod
"

Humour regarding foolish husbands helping efforts!

"
                                        Sorry I tried.
I decided to try and help my wife, I thought I'd try to clean the house.
What better form of love and care could be offered by a spouse?
I found her cleaning cloths and hoover and her yellow feather duster
I started work with sincerity and with all the energy I could muster.

It didn't take me very long before I realized that cleaning isn't easy
I found that dust and cobwebs made me feel incredibly sick and queasy
But I carried on in my own working way determined to get it all polished
My wife arrived she yelled at me, "It looks like our home's been demolished"
.
"What on earth are you doing, that's a woman's work a husband hasn't a clue"
I answered her in my own sweet way, "I was trying to make life easy for you"
She took a look at the mess I had made and said "Go and sit down with a Whiskey"
I swiftly obeyed , it was a mistake that I'd made, cleaning for a man is too risky.
