Maybe too late? There are so many things I have wanted to do in life A few that I've done are labeled "trouble and strife" I've achieved quite an amount of high scoring deeds I have always done my best to fill my family's needs.
As time passes by I realize I could have achieved more It's too late to operate when the Grim reapers at your door I should encourage the young to achieve it while you can It's no good to try to activate when you are a weak old man.
Life is for the living so don't waste a moment of your time Try to achieve everything you can, as long as it's not crime Mother Nature can be a witch, for I wanted to be a dancer My reward for hesitating? she decided to give me cancer!!
Hello Rod, life does go by very quickly indeed and before we know it we are the older generation. When you are young, time means nothing. We let it slip by, thinking we have plenty of it. We can afford to delay. And then we wake up! Sound advice, to grasp the opportunities and do much while you still have the energy and health to do it. I can relate well to your fine poem, many others will too. Your poem has a universal theme to it.

I suppose the answer is to forget them and enjoy what's left in your own life. Got to leave you now as I am running out of time. thanks for your kind and sensible review. Rod.
Hi Rod, I enjoyed your write, my friend. I have never been an ambitious fellow. all I ever wanted to do is write songs and poems. I never cared to promote them, but somehow I now find my stuff in forty books. I was just in the right place at the right time. All I have ever wanted was to find joy in my life, and now I have everything I will ever want in life. Having to have the pleasure of reading your writes, I see that you are kind of the same as me in many ways. Have a great weekend my friend....Peter

The last line in the poem is true I'm afraid but I have had a great life so I am not too worried. Thanks for your review Rod.
