Taken Prisoner

Taken Prisoner

Climate change maybe!

               Taken Prisoner

I feel I'm being locked in jail, I have to blame the weather

Trapped by falling snow and hail, I feel I've lost my tether

It's supposed to be early spring, it's more like early winter

Temperature below freezing has caused my skin to splinter.

We are told it's from Siberia blowing swiftly across the sky

We never ordered a delivery, it is causing many things to die

I would love to change its direction, but I don't have the power

My garden is completely covered in snow killing every flower.

My car is stranded on my icy drive covered in a pile of snow

I would love to take it for a drive but there is nowhere I can go

Roads are blocked by crashed cars and lots of snow and ice

I'll stay indoors, drink whiskey, that's what I call good advice.
