Cosmetic ChaosA Poem by matelotrodAlways believe what you seeCosmetic Chaos I had a great win on the lottery but I didn’t tell my wife There were changes that I wanted to elevate my life Keeping secrets from her might be seen by some as perjury I was sure that I would please her if I had cosmetic surgery.
I told her I must go away it was as my work demanded I don’t believe what I did was in any way underhanded I quickly found a surgeon who was keen to make a start We discussed the operations for each and every body part.
Starting with the tummy tucks, Botox injections everywhere Removal of bags beneath my eyes then implants of dark hair Ears pulled back against my head then obligatory face lift My whole appearance was modified, what a glorious gift
I set out on the journey home looking forward to the meeting But when I entered my front door it was not a welcome greeting My wife yelled “Who the heck are you, get out immediately” Through Botoxed lips I mumbled, “I’m your husband, can’t you see”
My husband has fine thinning hair and a myriad of wrinkles And little bags beneath his eyes which display gorgeous twinkles He is everything I’ll ever want he’s a man who suits my taste And his most attractive feature is his forty two inch waist
