Bring me Sunshine

Bring me Sunshine

Climate change worry

"

            Bring me Sunshine

I’ve spent the summer months enduring awful weather

Heavy rain and cold snow sometimes falling together

I can’t remember the seasons being so out of control

My garden flowers and wildlife are all taking their toll.

Could it be that Mother Nature is trying to re-arrange?

Endorsing the theory that we can expect climate change

Because if there is some evidence that proves it is true

I will have to lose my addiction to my faithful barbeque.

Maybe she finds that it is fun to meddle with my brain

Getting me settled in the sun then soaking me with rain

As if that was not enough she makes things very frightening

To emphasise the change’s she sends streaks of lightening.

I suppose we must bite the bullet and endure her crazy ways

With a brolly and some wellingtons, confront these lousy days

I will ensure that every little thing I barbeque will be eaten

Climate change, come do your worst; I swear I’ll not be beaten.

Thats the Spirit, my man! I once did the same for sixty guests! Was quite fun working side by side with nature. BBQ set up in garage. Guests thought it fun!
Really enjoyed this write. Thank you.
