Beer Bench Delight.A Poem by matelotrodJust a joke.Beer Bench Delight. I was relaxing on my beer bench with a whiskey in my hand The sun was shining very warm and bright It was the time of day that I considered so superior and grand I was not expecting Mother Nature’s awful fright.
I raised my tot glass to my lips and gave my head a little tilt My eyes were closed so in fact I didn't see A diving alcoholic Buzzard who obviously didn't accept guilt Who swiftly took my whiskey glass from me
I was stunned at such behavior, He didn't really have to steal I have always been a genuine nature lover I feed all the birds and animals but this attack has made me feel That maybe when drinking I must take cover.
I was amazed at this behavior so I followed his airborne retreat He landed in a tree and started to drink my tot He was looking down and smiling and when all was complete He dropped the glass after he had drunk the lot
Fortunately, it didn't end there as he began to twitch and sway The alcohol was beginning to take affect I quite often have a real large drink and I did today So, he crashed; what more could he expect? Rod Broomham (c) © 2017 matelotrodFeatured Review
