So CloseA Poem by RL Valdez...if she could just hear it, maybe...
You seemed so near, so close to me
I could see you in just a bit. Our gap was closing in between But still I can't hold you to me. You were just a few miles away Through my wish I could meet you soon As I ride my horse fly your way, But today was indeed untuned. Swords of gloom rained upon the road, Dance of plume moved through its soul, Like my an unharmonized song The string of fate broke in such doom. An adieu blew the wish to dust Made impossible glance to grasp As your hand wave in front of me, The chance of my dream broke in free. You run away before I came, Scared of the moon when it says 'hey!' I chased through unstoppable pain And yet our home ended the day. The city's bright turned monochrome, Music of horns went on dead tone, Crowd of feet danced waltz to gray old, As you continuously moved on. A while ago you seemed so near I even heard your heartbeats clear, Your breath and whisper to my ears But a farewell threw it in dim. You were really so close to me, I was so close of seeing you We were really so close enough But kismet isn't ours yet, still. 20160204
