Da Capo al FineA Poem by RL Valdez
With treble clef, it starts in pianissimo
Like do-re-mi of notes played 'til la-ti-do And tunes at mezzo sway in decrescendo As rhythm began its dance in adagio. Softly, the music whistled in sheer silence When the blackbird sings like of a nightingale The night in lullaby sleeps with quiescence As melody of zephyr kisses our vale. Of those morning dews that woke me up from bed Yesterday's adagio kept me against death But today's tempo's in rhythmic andante Luring me to waltz in dramatic forte. In a jiff, the music beats in allegro Like feelings within that seem in crescendo, Like my heart that's thumping in fortissimo The euphony inside me played de novo. But when jigsaw puzzles of my opera Won't fit together for musical drama, Retrocede to the beginning where it starts And play it again 'til the very last part. 201710 © 2019 RL Valdez |
