Tainted Bloom

Tainted Bloom

A Poem by RL Valdez

Of all pure and white and plain,
She is the nymph of all thy grace.
Her unblemished smiles radiating in rays
Brighten my day of sorrow and pain.

And when she giggles softly in silence,
The cherubins seem singing in acquiescence.
Her face glows and lightens in the darkest
Lifting me up from my dreadful reminescence.

She who knows no glum nor gloom,
Her voice that sooths my inner bloom,
She who loves to give me tender kiss,
Her tiny arms wrapping me in blissful bliss.

Of all thy gifts I received and conceived,
She is the greatest glory I'd perceived.
From the day she came through a wish,
My life restarted back at first niche.

She's been the hope I'd never knew
Who'd reborn my faith in fate anew.
She's the resplendence ablazing my stars
Who beams me her shine to reach afar.

But when her eyes glisten with moist,
I'm becoming a monster nagging in noise.
For every time the glow in her face fades,
My breathing hardens and continues to evade.

It pains me in silence whenever she weeps
And hurts me deeper, crumbling me in bits
As she keeps struggling in secret and stealth,
I witness how melancholy kills her and melt.

And of all pure and white and plain,
She's the only stained in taint with chaste
Who ascends untidy to the paleness of heaven
Without a tint of vengeance on her fair face.
