Conge

Conge

A Poem by RL Valdez
"

...should we just leave it in history?

"
My dripping thoughts and your haunting words,
Unfading memories kept and lost,
Your shadow's hiding behind the glow,
Longing for a hand to let you go.

Oh sweet reveries of my solace,
On a long escape from jam-packed maze,
Our perfections are coming to waste
If it weren't our hands interlaced.

Drizzles of glee that veneer each tear
On a semblance act of majesty,
Would it never shower into real
When the eyes cry in a sudden grief?

The phantom of gleam from each my dreams
Piece by piece piercing the feigning beam,
Would you just stay and would never leave
If I let you go without my grip?

Oh sweet reveries of my solace,
On a haste cortege in backward gaze,
My pretense goes in shambles and daze
Once I deemed we're not at the same phase.

Oh sweetest reverie of our trance,
We both wasted years of pitied chance.
I held taut to change the circumstance
But none varies from beats of each dance.

All my dripping thoughts, our dripping thoughts
Every haunting words, your haunting words
Memories of memory we hold
A part of history, still untold.
