Undecidedly UntitledA Poem by R. L. Ives
We see the struggles constant.
Under a system that is broken. This world is in degradation. What of our future, is sadly unspoken. We think we are in charge of our lives and how we live. What is this freedom they speak of, our rights only God can give? If that be the truth please tell who then gives those who hide, behind the curtain their power; thinking our future is theirs to decide? We know what is best they say; place your worry upon Our shelves. In Our hands we will take your lives We must save you from yourselves. Little by little we give; for it was we who foolishly chose. Little by little they take; we see not cause our eyes are closed. © 2014 R. L. Ives |
