When Words FailA Poem by R. L. Ives
Must you lie there mocking me so?
You know there is much I wish to say. No expression or explanation. You taunt me with your pale, blank face. My words struggle, fail. Unable to break the surface, tension increases with each passing moment. This deafening silence I don't understand. STOP!! Inhale. Exhale. Be still. Quiet. Now lets try again. © 2013 R. L.
