La Fee VerteA Poem by R. L. IvesThe Green Fairy
Has anyone seen me on this fine day?
'twas only gone for a moment then thought I would stay. Shhh listen now, oh so carefully. Tis my sweet Artemisia And the holy trinity. Such a strangelovely visit we had we three Grand wormwood, green anise Florence fennel and me. Vincent, Oscar and Ernest my how we did chat. But was there one more? Yes, Henri that old chap. Cube of sugar, iced water and trusty dear spoon, Just a few more drips now And I'll be the moon. Petals fall and drift slowly from bohemian flower The time has been lovely This milky green hour. © 2013 R. L. IvesFeatured Review
