The AntidoteA Poem by R. L. Ives
Don't grip tightly that which brings you down.
Open your hand, letting it go, allowing it not to enter your heart. Lest it become a terminal condition. Embrace tightly in your heart that which is good Leaving no room for bitterness, resentment, anger or hatred. Let those go and put behind you what was. Let the things that happened in the past return there. They have no place in your present and may only serve to poison your future. Learn from it, don't live by it. Instead, live life in spite of it. ~~~ ~~~ R. L. Ives © 2013 R. L. IvesReviews
