Step Mom

This is just alittle something on my heart about being a step mom

Being a step mom is a hard job. You can get compaired to their mother and that isn't fun at all.  I try my best to put a smile on my face, and to just act like I normally would. But it is so very hard. Because your sure their mom will ask questions. About me and what we did for the weekend. But I have finally realized that life goes on. THey can say whatever they want to say about me, but i know the truth. They love me for me and that's all that matters, one day they will see whatever their mother said bad about me isn't true at all.

amber, thats a tough situation to deal with at times for sure, im sure, and you seem to
have a great grasp on what it means to be a motherly figure in general, expresing your words
through your heart, the reader can feel your anxiety, as well as caring, and the valued

being a step mother only mean's a step up~~ because you get to be a part of someone elses heart that is awsome to share the love of a child with the one that you love. hugs

Well it's like this, my ex-wife is critical about everything but at the same time does not take the time out of her life to be a good example for my children. But in the end if you do what is right and love them the same way you would if they were your's they will always love you and respect you as being a GREAT STEP MOTHER.

Ahh, first of all, I have to say that I love prose poetry. Secondly, since I'm still in high school, I get the "evil stepmom" crap all the time, so it's nice to see it from the other side for a change. You really poured out your heart in this. All I can say is keep trudging on. Those hard days are so hard...believe me, I know, but you'll work through them. Stay strong, woman!
