Christmas As Seen

Christmas As Seen

A Poem by Robert Kennedy Mitchell
"

A quick poem about Christmas as seen through various views.

"

A child is in awe of the colorful light,

the gifts wrapped under the tree,

and Santa with his reindeer in mid-flight.

An agnostic is not sure what it means,

maybe there is truth,

but it’s okay if it’s not what it seems.

An atheist doesn’t mind the man in red,

they are not heartless to children,

it is Jesus they wish would stay dead.

A Christian is reminded of promises kept,

the lineage of David in Bethlehem,

and our Savior in the manger where He slept.

I like Your poem. I'm new to this site as well so maybe you could read one of mine? I think Christmas has become far too controversial - it's too bad people couldn't just accept each other's differences
