A choice

A choice

A Poem by Rachel
"

a long metaphorical view of the choices we make in life

"

A tiny girl once took a path

that split 4 ways.

she saw 4 men

by one path each they stayed.

she went to ask

where each path would go

therefore to make her choice.

the first man said his name was North

she asked to where the path went

he stated calmly "it goes to the Heavens

for it goes up the Earth."

She thought a moment

then turned around

and went to the man named South

He told her " Hi! This way you'll come

if you wish a Nigthmare from,

your mind and soul will quiver,

your very bones with fear will shiver."

She quickly turned and left him standing,

waiting for the reply.

Then the man in front of her

told her West was his name.

She asked to where his path flows

he answered in a booming voice

"This is where everything ends."

The other man, known as East,

whispered near her ear,

" this path here, it leads to..

to all the beginnings."

She turned and stood in the center,

with careful thought for a careful minute,

finally she made her choice,

and followed the path till another crossroads come.

This was very well written ,I always liked the idea of cross roads or rather choices we have to make
life is so long we meet so many challenges ,we have to make so many decisions..we should be right
one single wrong thought..one will lead to the other..you will always be stunned how much thinking you have to do
if you really wanted to live your life to the full..some will choose to be less mobile so they are not faced with hard decisions to make
but I always thought its the adventurers who will always win ,who will take the most of it..with a bit of luck and some good brains
add to it a little wisdom ,leave greed out of it..dont only think of yourself ,think of all along with you..life is never easy
but few good rules and to the wise its never that hard, its like they already know their way..ohh what lovely people these are
again a very thoughtful write..you could extend it into a long story..you will need lots of research however ha ha
lovely write..

Good work with this one! Words were chosen wisely and I like the metaphor to the decisions we are constantly making in life. I think the fact that it rhymed in some parts and not others messed up the flow a bit. Besides that good job

Well Done. it is an expression in truth and the poet spoke on behalf of every one how every one makes a choice in hope of better choice to make.
