When You Love SomebodyA Story by Bishop R. Joseph Owles
When we love someone, those who are important to the person we love become important to us.
If we love God, then those who are important to God become important to us. If the person I love asks me to do something for someone who is important to her, I will do it -- and if I can't do it for the person because I don't like them very much, I will still do it for her because I love her. If we love God, then we will do whatever God asks us to do for those who are important to God -- and even if we find it difficult to do it for the people because we do not like them very much, we can still do it for them for God. Who is important to God? EVERYBODY! God has asked you to take care of the poor, the hungry, the needy, the sick, the lonely, down and out, the outcasts, the unpopular, and others. SO DO IT! Even if you can't do it for them because you don't like them very much, do it for God because you love God, and what is important to God -- people, ALL people -- is important to you. © 2013 Bishop R.
