Her

Her

A Poem by writerchic25
"

a girl is depressed and only one person knows

"
You may know her
Then again, you may not
You may think you know all about her
Her feelings, her thoughts
And again, you may not know her as well as you think
She's a great mystery
That you think you've finally figured out
And then she does something
And you wonder what she's all about
She'll smile, she'll laugh
But it won't reach her eyes
You're the only one that can see past her lies
But she doesn't know it
She thinks she is safe
She doesn't believe anyone knows not even a little bit
Every time you look her way it's the same
Except this time.
She is alone; she's let her guard down
Her eyes glazen, her lips set in a frown.
And then,
When you see her in town
Even you don't recognize her
Who would?
The depression that settles around her is unnerving
She is much more deserving
To be happy
Then many of the people you know
Though you have to admit
She puts on a good show
So good in fact; she could sell tickets
If only she would let someone see her for real
Before it's too late
She holds too many
Emotions and thoughts
For one person to let rest on their shoulders.
Don't you wonder,
It it's too much for her to ponder?
Aren't you afraid she'll
Lose control,
And do something drastic?
Aren't you worried
You won't see her tomorrow
Because
She held too much, for so long,
That she lost herself
And her life.
Will you be able to live with yourself
After realizing you,
You could have saved her?

Way to go in making someone feel regretful. Lol. This piece is so sad. I could have cried in shame if I was the person. I like the ending. It's just so powerful. The impact is so great, as if you're leaving a challenge for others who ignore those people whom they could have helped. Great Poem.

By the way, there are things I'd like to point out.

"Then many of the people you know"--I think 'then' should have been 'than.'

"It it's too much for her to ponder?"--Change the 'It' to 'If'

Those are just minor mistakes I've noticed. Hope they'd help you.

Keep Writing. ^___^
