~ inked by the sensitivity you instinctively exudeA Poem by . serah .somewhat poetic prose; i write merely to exercise my right to write; in a tragic incident, an assailant hurled racial slurs before shooting two indians in kansas - one of them diedmonsieur scalpel, every time an untimely death speaks through the bullet of a gun that should never have been found in the hands of someone brimming with hatred overflowing with venom deranged because of ratcheted up language immersed in the imagery of paranoia invoking something as senseless as narrow nationalism i'm reminded of you and doctors without borders and how before i really read tagore's essays critiquing nationalism you taught me what a vacuous concept patriotism truly is your vocabulary is the calligraphy of your immaculate and impeccable intellect inked by the sensitivity you instinctively exude i sensed that patriotism has the potential to transport anyone beyond the boundaries of sheer sanity at the cost of humanity and i began to fathom the serenity of the Hippocratic oath it would be impossible for me to repay my debt to you for this one reason alone
