Daniel 12:1-13. The End Times 12 “At that time
Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a
time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until
then. But at that time your people-everyone whose name is found written in the book-will
be delivered. 2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting
life, others to shame and everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting
contempt. 3 Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens,
and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. 4
But you Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the
end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”
5 Then I, Daniel,
looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and
one on the opposite bank. 6 One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who
was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these
astonishing things are fulfilled?”
7 The man clothed in
linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his
left toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It
will be for a times and a half a time. When the power of the
holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.”
8 I heard, but did not
understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”
9 He replied, “Go your
way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the
end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will
continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand.
11 “From the time that
the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is
set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 Blessed is the one who waits for and
reaches the end of the 1,335 days.
13 “As for you, go your
way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise
to receive your allotted inheritance.”
People who live for God, will keep living for
God and those who aren’t will keep being wicked. God is so good and there are
so many prophecies in the Bible that point to what will happen. Everything that God said would happen, did,
and so everything that He said would take place, will. He does not lie and
speaks the truth. He gave us His word to show us what is to come, and what took
place. We can totally trust in Him with what happens in our lives. We as believers should be who God wants us to
be. God changes hearts, lives and as believers, He has changed us. We are no
longer the same. After Jesus had made us clean, we are clean, and His, and we
no longer live how we did before. We have a new life in Jesus, that is one that
is better then before. God is so good, in giving us a new life, that is found
in knowing and loving, Him. He is so good and so holy, and blameless. He is good, and always will be. Now and
always. The end will happen just as He said it will. Everything prophesied to
Daniel will happen, and everything spoken in Revelations will happen too, the
things that haven’t yet taken place.
Matthew 24:1-35. The Destruction of the
Temple and the Signs of the End times 24 Jesus left the
temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to Him to call His
attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see these things?” he asked. “Truly I
tell you, not one stone here will be left on another, every one will be thrown
down.” 3 As Jesus was sitting
on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said,
“when will this happen? and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end
of the age?” 4 Jesus answered:
“Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, claiming,
‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumours
of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but
the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom
against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All
these things are the beginning of birth pains. 9 “Then you will be
handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all
nations because of me. 10 At that time many
will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false
prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of
wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to
the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in
the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. 15 “So when you see
standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of
through the prophet Daniel-let the reader understand- 16 then let those who
are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to
take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the
field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for
pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take
place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress,
unequaled from the beginning of the world until now-and never to be equaled
again. 22 “If those days had
not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those
days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is
the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and
false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if
possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time. 26 “So if anyone tells
you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; ‘Here he is, in the
inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east
is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28
Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. 29 “Immediately after
the distress of those days
“the sun will be darkened, and the moon will
not give its light; the stars will fall
from the sky, and the
heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ 30 “Then will appear
the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth
will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with
power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet call,
and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens
to the other. 32 “Now learn this
lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs
get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so,
when you see all these things, you know that is near, right at the door. 34
Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these
things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will
never pass away.”
In the end times, some people will walk away
from the faith and turn away from it. The love of many will grow cold and that
will lead to people walking away from their faith. But we should stay faithful
to God, and do His will. We will know that the end is soon coming, when
things take place that the Bible says will happen. We can rely on God, that He
gave us His word to prepare us for what comes. We need God and we always will. The end times won’t be easy, but God is good,
and all of His promises come true and are true. Some will be lead astray, and
walk away from the faith, but we as believers should keep believing and keep
our trust in God. How good is God for giving us a way to be
saved, and He does love us as His children. He goes with us where we go, and is
with us, and we can get through what comes in life because of Him. Heaven and earth may pass away but Gods word
will always be. We should read it, and do what it says and listen to what God
wants us to do. He is good, and knows what we should do. We can and should
always put all of our hope and trust in Him. The maker of it all, the one who
leads and guides our lives. We can trust Him.
Matthew 24:36-51. The Day and Hour
Unknown 36 “But about that day
or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the
Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the
Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and
drinking; marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;
39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took
them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two
men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women
will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. 42 “Therefore keep
watch, because you do not know what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this:
If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming,
he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So
you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do
not expect Him. 45 “Who then if the
faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in
his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good
for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I
tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that
servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’
49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with
drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not
expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and
assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and
gnashing of teeth.”
No one knows when Jesus
is coming again, but God. He is the only one that knows. A lot of people won’t
be ready when Jesus comes again, but we as believers should always be ready and
watching. He will come again like a thief in the night, and it will be at an
hour that people do not expect. We as Christians, should keep having faith, no
matter what comes. God is always in control, and always will be.
There is nothing that He can’t handle, and we should rely on Him, and trust in
Him. Peace comes from knowing Him, and we really do have a better life in
knowing, following and loving Jesus. As people who have been born again, we have a
hope that overcomes what comes. The disciples went through hard times but with
God, they got through. Only with Jesus did they have hope in their
circumstances. They went through good times and bad, and so
do we. When we fully trust in God, we can be like Peter who walked on the water
towards Jesus. We should keep our eyes on Him, and then we
will not slip and fall into the waves. With Him, we will be okay. He helps us
up, and then we are okay. Only in Jesus, are we going to be okay no matter what
comes in our lives. We have no reason to fear anything that comes, because we
know the one that still calms the storms of our lives. We need Jesus to stretch out his hand and
rescue us.
Matthew 25:1-13. 25 “At that time the
kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to
meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were
foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not
take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with
their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became
drowsy and fell asleep.
6 “At midnight the cry
rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7 “Then all the virgins
woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us
some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9 ‘‘‘No,’ they replied,
‘there may not be enough for both of us and you. Instead, go to those who sell
oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10 “But while they were
on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready
went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
11 “Late the others
also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the
door for us!’
12 “But He replied,
‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
13 “Therefore keep
watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.”
We should always be ready as Christians for
when Jesus will return. It will happen, and we do not know when. We do not know
when Jesus will come back, but we should always be ready. Ready and watching.
We should be like the wise virgins who were ready, for when the bridegroom
came. We should be like that with the return of Jesus. Ready and watching. We don’t want to be like
the foolish virgins and not be ready. The book of Revelations is true, and we
know that Jesus will come again. It hasn’t happened yet, but it will. Just like the days of Noah, it will be in the
end times. People probably would never think that the flood would have
happened, but it did. And just like that happened, the rapture will happen too. We should be ready and right with Jesus, and
be ready for when it does happen. Our hope is found in Him. He is our loving
and faithful Shepherd. The hope for our life is found in knowing and loving
Jesus, and having our sins forgiven by Him. When we have asked Him to forgive our sins,
and have our lives and thank Him for dying for us, then we are saved and born
again. We should care about the rapture, and about the return of Jesus, and
keep watching and be ready for it. Always. No matter when it is, we should be
ready. Being ready means being a Christian and caring about when Jesus comes
again. Caring about the end times and knowing it will
happen. Believing it will. The foolish virgins probably were too busy to care
about when the bridegroom would come, but we should always be ready for it.
Revelations 1:1-8.
Prologue 1 The revelation from
Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take
place. He made it known by sending his angels to his servant John, 2 who testifies to
everything he saw-that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. 3
Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are
those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is
near.
Greetings and Doxology
4 John,
To the seven churches
in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you
from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits
before his throne, 5 and from Jesus
Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler
of the kings of the earth.
To Him who loves us and
freed us from our sins by His blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and
priests to serve His God and Father-to Him be the glory and power for ever and
ever! Amen.
7 “Look, He is coming with the
clouds,” and “every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him”; and all people on earth
“will mourn because of Him.” So shall it be! Amen.
8 “I am the Alpha and
the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the
Almighty.”
It is Jesus who took away our sins and He died
on the cross for them. In Him, we have a new life. One that is different then
before. We are changed, born again, and have a new life. He died in our place
so that we didn’t have too. He took our punishment, and someday He will
come again for us who believe. God is the Alpha and the Omega. The one who is,
and who was and is to come. Jesus is going to come again, and take us to heaven
to be with Him forever as Christians. We don’t have to worry or fear about anything
because we know that God is in complete control. He always was in control and
is in control and always will be in total control. He is on His throne in
heaven, and Jesus is sitting at His right hand. He will never give up His power, and won’t give
it to anything or anyone else. He will always be the ruler of all. So as
Christians, we know the one who is ruler of all. So we never have to worry or
fear anything that could happen. God is so good in making a way for us to be
saved, and that way is Jesus. Our hope is found in Him. He came to this
earth as a baby, and did so many miracles and helped so many people. We should
be like Him, and be loving and helpful to those we meet.
Revelations 1:9-20. John’s Vision of Christ 9 I, John, your brother
and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that our ours
in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the
testimony of Jesus. 10 On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard a
loud voice like a trumpet, 11 which said: “Write
on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna,
Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis,
Philadelphia and Laodicea.”
12 I turned around to
see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden
lampstands, 13 and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed
in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14
The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were
like blazing fire. 15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his
voice was like the sound of rushing waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven
stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face
was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.
17 When I saw him, I
fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said:
“Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. 18 I am the Living One; I was
dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death
and Hades.
19 “Write, therefore,
what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later. 20 The mystery of the
seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is
this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven
lampstands are the seven churches.”
John had a vision of Christ and in it, He said
that He is the First and the Last. He is the Living One and He was dead and is
alive for ever and ever. He holds the keys to death and hades. God is all powerful and we can remember that
He always will be. He knows what we do and what we don’t do, and we should
always follow Him, and do what He wants. We should keep trusting in Jesus. He
is always going to be there for us and as Christians we have the Holy Spirit
living in us. He will love us, and encourage us. In God,
there is peace and a hope. The way to God is through His Son, Jesus. The way to
be saved is in Jesus. We need Him to be saved and changed. As believers, Jesus has changed us and we
should keep following Him. He is our loving Shepherd and we are His sheep. We
should stay on the narrow road and we ready for when Jesus returns. He will
return for His followers and the children of God. It’s a great thing getting to be Gods child.
We have a hope that won’t end or go away as long as we keep following God, and
we really are, His.
Revelations 2:1-7. To the Church in
Ephesus 2 “To the angel of the
church in Ephesus write:
These are the words of him who holds the
seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands. 2 I
know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot
tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but
are not, and have found them false. 3 You have persevered
and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. 4 Yet I hold this
against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. 5 Consider how far you
have fallen! Repent and do the
things you did at first. If you do not repent, I
will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. 6 But you have this in
your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7 Whoever has an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is
victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the
paradise of God.”
We should keep following God, as Christians
and not grow weary. We shouldn’t stray away from following Him and living our
lives for Him. It will all be worth it if we keep following Him. It really is a good life in living it for
Jesus. Our hope is in Him. He lived and died for us because of His love for us.
We should love Him and keep loving Him. Our faithful Shepherd knows us and
loves us and always will. Peace is found in knowing Him. You can’t have the
same peace in life apart from God. God gives us a peace that is not like the
peace the world gives, as it talks about in the Bible. God gives us a different
kind of peace. No matter what we face or go through God goes with us, and is
there for us and gives us a peace.
Revelations 3:1-6. To the Church in Sardis 3 “To the angel of the
church in Sardis write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven
spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of
being alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up! Strengthen
what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the
sight of my God. 3 Remember, therefore,
what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not
wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will
come to you
4 Yet you have a few
people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me,
dressed in white, for they are worthy. 5 The one who is victorious will, like
them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from
the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and His
angels. 6 Whoever has an ear, let them hear what the Spirit says to the
churches.”
We should be ready for the rapture and be
awake. Being dedicated to God, and being awake in our relationship with Him.
That means that we love Him, and are following Him. That we look forward to His
ways and plans and want the rapture to happen. We look forward to it and want Jesus to come
again. That will be an amazing day. When Jesus comes again and takes us as His
sheep to heaven. He is so loving, kind, full of compassion. We should be like
Him on this earth and point people to the reason for our joy, hope, peace, and
love. He is the one who changes hearts, lives and
gives us a good reason for living. Him.
Revelations 5:6-14. “6 Then I saw a Lamb,
looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne,
encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns
and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
7 He went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne. 8 And when he had taken
it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the
Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense,
which are the prayers of God’s people. 9 And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take
the scroll and to open its seals, because you are
slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every
tribe and language and people
and nation. 10 You have made them to be
a kingdom and
priests to serve our God, and they will
reign on the earth.”
11 Then I looked and
heard a voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten
thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures
and the elders. 12 In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth
and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” 13 Then I heard every
creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all
that is in them, saying:
“To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and
power, for ever and ever!” 14 The four living
creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders
fell down and worshipped.”
God deserves all of our praise and adoration.
He deserves our lives. It is Him who made us, and loves us. Our lives as
Christians are in Gods hands. That is a good place for them to be. We have a
better life when we do the will of God. God knows what He is doing and He has a
reason for His ways and plans. There is a good reason for His ways. We should
do His will, and then we will have more peace. God knows what He wants us to
do, and we should listen to His voice and what He tells us in His word. God sits on the throne and Jesus is at His
right hand. Jesus deserves all of the praise, honor and glory. We should give
Him all of our praise. He is so loving and made a way for us to go to heaven.
We can trust in God and know that we will be okay in our lives because of God. Things may not always be easy, but God is
always good. He will always be on His throne. We should always trust in Him. There
are so many people from all over the world that know and love Jesus, and we
should keep following Him and being His loving sheep. We are His sheep, following our Shepherd. He
leads us to good places, and we should keep following Him. We don’t always know
where to go or what to do, but we should pray for God to direct us where to go
and what to do.
Revelations 7:9-17. The Great Multitude in
White Robes 9 After this I looked,
and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every
nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the
Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their
hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our
God,’ who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” 11 All the angels were
standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures.
They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, 12 saying:
“Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and
honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and
ever. Amen!” 13 The one of the
elders asked me, “These in white robes-who are they, and where did they come
from?”
14 I answered, “Sir,
you know.”
And he said, “These are
they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes
and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore,
“they are before the
throne of God and serve Him day
and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will shelter them
with His presence. 16 ‘Never again will they
hunger; never again will
they thirst. The sun will not beat
down on them,’ nor any scorching
heat. 17 For the Lamb at the
centre of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘He will lead them to
springs of living water.’ ‘And God will wipe
away every tear from their eyes.’”
God is so comforting, loving and there for us
as His children. Jesus is at the centre of the throne in heaven. The people who
are in heaven are okay, and don’t have the worries of this life. They are spending time now with Jesus, and
have a new life. Jesus is there with them, and in the centre. It’s a completely
different life being a Christian and belonging to the family of God. It’s a
different way of thinking, of living and we should be thankful for it. We are the humble sheep of Jesus, and we should
keep being humble, and being loving. Jesus was so loving when He was on earth
and He still is. He is now in heaven, and will come again. We should be ready
for His return and tell people about Him. Being a light in this world, and remembering
who the great light of the world was, and is and always will be. Jesus. Our
loving Savior. He was and is the light of the world and made a big difference
in peoples lives. He healed and loved people. He is full of
love, grace, compassion, and kindness. He is coming again to us to be with Him
forever. He will come at the right time. We should go by Gods timing and not
our own. God is in charge, holy and all knowing. He will come at the perfect
time, and give more people a chance to know and love Him. He is patient with
people and wants them to go to heaven.
Revelation 11:1-12. The Two Witnesses 11 I was given a reed
like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the
altar, with its worshipers. 2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it,
because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city
for 42 months. 3 And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophecy
for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth. 4 They are “the two olive trees” and the
two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.” 5 If anyone
tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who
wants to harm them must die. 6 They have power to shut up the heavens so that
it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to
turn the waters to blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as
often as they want.
7 Now when they have
finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack
them, and overpower and kill them. 8 Their bodies will lie in the public square
of the great city-which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt-where also their
Lord was crucified. 9 For three and a half
days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their
bodies and refuse them burial. 10 The inhabitants of
the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts,
because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.
11 But after the three
and a half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on
their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. 12 Then they heard a loud
voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in
a cloud, while their enemies looked on.”
The hope that we have in God as believers is
amazing and we should keep trusting in Him. He had a plan and a purpose for the
two witnesses, and He had a purpose and plan for us too. They may have died,
but then they were alive and went to heaven. There is so much hope in knowing God, and
loving Him and trying to do good on this earth. We should keep following God
and always do His will. Times may come that it will be harder to follow Him,
and yet we should always follow Him. God can help us with
what comes and show us what we should do.
Revelations 22:12-21. Epilogue: Invitation
and Warning 12 “Look, I am coming
soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to each person according to what
they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the
Beginning and the End.
14 “Blessed are those
who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may
go through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice
magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who
loves and practices falsehood.
16 “I, Jesus, have sent
my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the
Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
17 The Spirit and the
bride say, “Come!” And let the one who
hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes
take the free gift of the water of life.
18 I warn everyone who
hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to
them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes
words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person
any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this
scroll.
20 He who testifies to
these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen, Come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of the
Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.”
When Jesus comes again, He will give to each
person what they have done. He will reward those who do good. He is so full of
grace, love and compassion. We should keep waiting for His return, no matter
when it is. Whenever Jesus comes again, it will be an
amazing day. One full of hope for us believers and one of excitement. That will
be a good day. But we should pray for the lost, and love them, and show them
the way. How good and patient is God, that He waits for
people who are lost to come and know Him. He is so patient, and loving. He
loves those who He has created, and knows that no one is too far gone for Him
to change and reach. © 2021 Dorita |
