                       Love and Encouragement

                           A Devotional Book

Deuteronomy 31:6.

“6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

 We should be strong and courageous. We should not be afraid or terrified. God goes with us and is there for us. He will never leave us nor forsake us either. He is good and always will be. There may be times in our lives when we are afraid but with God, we should have faith and know that He is always in control.

 God is all powerful, and He is loving and protective. We can trust Him to protect us from what comes, and know that He knows what He is doing and always will.

Psalm 23:4.

“4 Even though I walk

       through the darkest valley,

      I will fear no evil,

         for you are with me;

          Your rod and Your staff,

           they comfort me.”

  No matter what we face in this life or go through, we can rely on God. Even in the worst of situations, God is there for His children. We don’t have to fear evil and we can know that God love us, as His children, and always will. His rod and His staff they comfort us. God is our loving heavenly Father as Christians, and we should put all of our faith, hope and trust in Him. The maker of it all and the keeper of our hearts. God knows us better than anyone so He knows what we need, and knows how to help us with what comes.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

“4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”

  Love is patient and kind. We should be loving and know that God is loving. He is who we should be like. God loves us in a perfect way. As Christians, we should show people the love of God, and be loving. We should love God, and love others. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. Love does not fail.

 Somethings come and go like; prophecies tongues and knowledge, but love will never fail or end. God will never stop loving us, and He will never stop being there for us as His children.

 His children are those who have asked Jesus to forgive their sins and thanked Jesus for what He did on the cross, and then given Him their lives. We need Jesus, and we always will, as His loving sheep. He is our loving Shepherd and His sheep, we should follow Him, always.

1 John 4:7-8.

“God’s Love and Ours

7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

 We should love one another for love comes from God. God is so loving and wants us to be loving too. When we come to know Jesus, He changes us to be more who He wants us to be. More loving and kind and He changes our hearts. God changes our hearts from being hard to being softer. He helps us be more loving, more kind and more the people He wants us to be. God changes lives and as believers, He has changes ours.

John 3:15-16.

“15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in Him.”

16 For God so love the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

 Those of us who are Christians have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. God sent Jesus to this earth as a baby and He grew up, and lived and died in our place. He did so many amazing things on this earth, and proved so many times that He is God. He did miracles, and changed lives. Jesus is still changing lives today, and someday will come again.

Romans 5:8.

“8 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

 Jesus died for us when we were still sinners. That is how much He loved people, in that, He died for us when we were still sinners. He died on the cross for our sins, so that He could take away our sins and give us a better life.

 He died in our place and takes away sins. Only Jesus could do this, because He is sinless. He never sinned, and is without sin. He was still loving and kind, and there for people, even when He was perfect and they weren’t. How loving and amazing is Jesus, and there for people. We as Christians should be more like Him, and be loving and kind.

1 John 3:1.

“1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.”

 We are the children of God, as Christians. We have been born again. We have been made new and we are now righteous. How good is God for making a way for us to be saved, and for us to be His children.

 That way is found in Jesus, His Son. The world does not know Jesus, but we as Christians, do. God is so loving for making way for us to be saved, and for us to go to heaven someday, to live with Him forever.

Matthew 5:43-48.

“43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

We as Christians should love those that don’t love us. It’s easy to love those who do love us, but when we love those that don’t, we are showing the love of God. God wants us to be like Him, and show people His amazing and all-powerful love.

 God can use us to show His love. He is perfect and His love for us is perfect too. We should love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. No matter how we are treated, we should be loving towards those that don’t treat us right.

 God is so powerful that we can do this.

Romans 8:28.

“28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

God works things for the good of those who love Him. We should always love God, no matter what comes in our lives or what happens. We, as Christians have been called according to His purpose.

 We should do what God wants us to do, and live in the ways and plans of God. He is so good to us as believers and so loving. In God, we have a better life. One where we are born again, and changed. We are renewed as God’s children.

Psalm 63:3.

“3 Because Your love is better than life,

        my lips will glorify You.”

 God’s love for us is better than life, and our lips should glorify Him. Our lives should glorify God. We should live to honour and love God. He is so loving and there for us as His children.

 He is our loving heavenly Father, and that will not change as long as we keep following Him, and keep living for Him. We should glorify God and do what He wants us to do. Storms may come, and life may be hard at times, but God is always the same and always good. He will accomplish His promises He said in the Bible, and will do what He wants.

 We as Christians should want Gods will and Gods ways. Then we will have peace, in the plans and ways of God.

Psalm 103:13-14.

“13 As a father has compassion on His children,

    so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him;

14  for He knows how we are formed,

         He remembers that we are dust.”

 God has love and compassion for His children. We need Gods compassion. He is full of love, grace and mercy. God created us and made us and He is the one that created the world, the mountains, the lakes, the rivers, and us. He created all of creation and chooses to love us. His love is there for us and the Holy Spirit comforts us when we need Him. There are so many times in our lives when we need to be comforted. We go through good times, hard times, but God is always there for us and always faithful.

Jeremiah 31:3.

“3 The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying:

           “I have loved you with an everlasting love;

            I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”

God loves us with an everlasting love, He has drawn us with unfailing kindness. God is full of love and kindness. That is comforting to us when we face times of sadness or things that come in our lives that aren’t always easy.

 When we focus on Gods love, and grace we have peace. He loves us as His children and always will. His love, grace, mercy, and compassion are always there for us. God is all powerful, and when we really focus on that, we know that no matter what comes, we will be okay.

Zephaniah 3:17.

“17    The LORD your God is with you,

          the Mighty Warrior who saves.

       He will take great delight in you;

        in His love He will no longer rebuke you,

        but will rejoice over you with singing.”

God is with us and is a Mighty Warrior who saves. He takes great delight in us too, as His children. He loves us and takes care of us and is there for us. Through the rain, through the good times, and whatever comes in our lives, God is there. He always will be there for us and His love is unfailing and never ending. People may come and go in our lives, but God won’t. He doesn’t leave us, and He won’t leave us.

Romans 5:5.

“5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

Hope does not put is to shame and we can know that God defends us. Gods love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us as Gods children.

 The Holy Spirit is there for us as Christians. He loves us, comforts us, and always will. He heals, loves and forgives. The Holy Spirit is God, and has the same characteristics of God. So, He is loving, forgiving, and there for us. He comforts us.

1 Peter 4:8.

“8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

We should love each other deeply, and love covers over a multitude of sins. We can rely on God and on His love and His forgiveness. We need forgiveness from God and from others in this life.

 We should show forgiveness to others too when they make a mistake, because God forgives us, like it says to do in the Bible. God loves us and forgives us so we should love and forgive others.

Psalms 86:15.

“15   But you, LORD, are a compassionate and gracious God,

      slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.”

God is full of compassion and grace. He is slow to anger and abounding in love and faithfulness. God created everything and still cares about us and loves us as His children.

 How good is God and always there for us. He is there for us when we are afraid, sad, don’t know what to do, or worried. He can take away our fears, doubts, and give us faith, hope and love.

Proverbs 10:12.

“12    Hatred stirs up conflict,

           but love covers over all wrongs.”

Hate stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs. We should be full of love and not hate, as Christians. We should show people the love of God, and it is His love that helps people want to come to know Him, like it says in the Bible.

 He reaches people because of His great love. God is there for us and loves us as Christians. We should show people His love, grace and mercy. God is good, and He is holy and we should be more like Him.

1 John 4:8.

“8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. We should be loving and know that God is loving. His love is perfect and never changes or comes to an end. We can rely on His love.

 His love is like a boat in the storms of life. We are okay because we know that God loves us. Then we feel safe, secure and loved. God loves us as His children, but He also disciplines us because of His love for us. Like a father disciplines their child. But then we are once again, doing what we should when we learn from what we did wrong and do right again.

 Colossians 3:14.

“14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

We should put on love, and be loving to others. To God and to others. When we show people the love of God, we are doing what God wants and feel better about how we are living.

 When we are full of hate, we don’t have the same peace in life and we aren’t pleasing God. We should love everyone and be there for people we meet and show them the love of God.

John 13:34-35.

“34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”

People will know that we are Jesus’ disciples if we love one another. Jesus loved people and healed them. He forgave them and when people judged them, He was the one that stood up for them. He loves us and heals us and is there for us as His sheep.

 He is our loving and faithful Shepherd of us as His sheep. That is comforting to know that we are loved by Jesus and that He leads us to safe and loving places. We should love one another so that people know that we are His disciples.

1 Corinthians 13:13.

“13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

We should be full of faith, hope and love. The greatest of these is love. We should have faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love. Love is so important and with us, we are doing what God wants.

 When there is more love in this world, the world is a better and safer place. So much conflict and bad things happen when we aren’t loving. But when we are loving, then more good things happen in this world. Love is so important and always will be. God is love and we should show His love to this world.

1 John 4:7.

“7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”

 Love comes from God and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. We as believers should be loving and show one another the love of God and God is so loving, powerful and amazing.

 His love goes on and on and always will. In the Christian life there is peace. We have been changed, renewed and one of the main ways we have been changed, is we are loving.

 Isaiah 41:10.

“10        So do not fear, for I am with you;

                do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

           I will strengthen you and help you;

            I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

God is with us and we shouldn’t be dismayed for God is our God. He will strengthen us and help us. He will uphold us with His righteous right hand. We are secure in life because we are Gods children.

 He is there for His children and always will be. How great is our God and always will be. God will take of us as His children and His love does not come to an end.

 Isaiah 40:31.

“31      but those who hope in the LORD

              will renew their strength.

           They will soar on wings like eagles;

             they will run and not grow weary,

              they will walk and not be faint.”

Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. We will sour on the wings of eagles if we hope in the LORD. We will then run and not grow weary and walk and not faint.

 When we rely on God and not ourselves good and godly things happen. God is the one that changes us and real hope and love are found when we know and love Him. We need God and always will.

Exodus 15:2.

“2    “The LORD is my strength and my defense;

          He has become my salvation.

        He is my God, and I will praise Him,

           my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.”

 The LORD is our strength and our defense. He has become our salvation. He is our God and we should praise Him. We should exalt Him and love Him and put all of our faith, hope and trust in Him.

 God is our hope as believers and always will be. He is there for us and loves us and that is comforting. He comforts us and loves us and is there for us as His believers. How good is God, and so loving. God is good and so perfect. His love for us goes on and on. God changes hearts, lives and gives us a new one.

When we become a Christian, we are now God child, and we belong to the family of God. We are no longer the same and we are now a changed person. Our heart is softer and we are born again.

There may come times in our lives that are hard and difficult but God is there for us and will lead us and guide us. We can and should put all of our hope and trust in God. It is Him that we can trust and should trust.

He is loving and protective, and there for us when we need Him. The Holy Spirit loves us and comforts us as Christians and always will. We need His help and we need His love. We are going to be okay because of God and because He is always faithful and always loving. There is peace that comes from living for God and loving Him. God is there for us and always faithful. Who can change our hearts and lives better than Jesus? He lived and dead in our place and then went to live in heaven.

Now He is living at the right hand of Jesus and someday as Christians we will go and live with Him forever. We should stay living on the narrow road and be the people that God wants us to be.

 God knows everything and nothing surprises Him. He is all knowing, all loving and always faithful. We may make mistakes at times and need to come back to being who God wants us be, and we should come back to God if we are walking away.

God is loving, forgiving and changes us. Jesus comes looking for His lost sheep, and brings them back to the others. How loving is Jesus that He comes looking for those who wander off. We should stay on the narrow road and on the road that leads us to eternal life.

Gone are the days of living for ourselves and we are now living for the one that knows us best. The one that made us and loves us. God. When we live our lives for Him, we have a better life. A different one than we did before.

When we live our lives for God, then we are living how God wants us to. As Christians we always have reasons to love, hope and forgive. As Christians we always have reasons to love others and be who God wants us to be.

 It’s a great thing getting to be a child of God and loving Him and loving others. We always should put our hope in God and know that in Him we will be okay. We will be okay and we will be, loved. God created everything and still loves us. We can go to Him if we are feeling sad, hurt, or we are afraid. And God will help us. His ways and plans for our lives are always good, and always best.
